Accountant's Summary
This form contains useful information that ensures that the returns prepared are complete and accurate and allows you to have a general idea of the client’s situation. It will include notably, RRSP/PRPP details, instalment calculations, capital gains deduction as well as a summary of the carryforwards.
The sections in this form are variable display and print by default. These sections will only display and print if an amount is entered in them. If the variable display and print is not convenient, you can change it from the drop-down list at the top of the form (if you want to make a change to the active client file) or from the Section “D. Options – Other forms” in the preparer profile (if you want to make a change to all your client files).
The Accountant’s Summary form is composed of the following sections:
- Page 1 (permanent) contains the “Important information” section;
- Next page (variable) contains the Instalments, Information on RRSP/PRPP, HBP, Lifelong Learning Plan, Current year balances carried forward, Losses carryforward summary, Information on self-employed earnings, Information on capital gains deduction, Information of reserves on dispositions of capital property and Closing balance – Resource pools sections;
- Next page (variable) contains information for Québec: Current year balances carried forward, Losses carryforward summary, Information on self-employed earnings, Information on capital gains deduction, Information of reserves on dispositions of capital property sections as well sections regarding the Québec tax return such as Information on strategic investments, Real estate tax refund for forest producers and Closing balance – Resource pools.
