Form EFILE INFO, EFILE Information (Jump Code: EFILE INFO) displays data from the EFILE Log and from the file properties in the active client file. This form is useful as it provides easy access to information concerning all transmissions to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec (RQ) (NetFile Québec).

If you are a preparer with no access to the EFILE Log, this form will provide you with the necessary information concerning a transmitted return as well as the information you will need to correct a rejected return for electronic transmission purposes.

The program updates the information contained in this form when one of the following operations is done:

The following information with respect to the return of the active taxpayer is available in the EFILE INFO form, if applicable:

  • Electronic transmission of the return to the CRA: the most recent dates of acceptance and rejection (if applicable) of the return, as well as the document control number and the relevant confirmation numbers.
  • EFILE error codes (CRA) as well as their descriptions.

  • Electronic transmission of the returns to RQ: the most recent dates of acceptance and rejection (if applicable) of the return, as well as the relevant confirmation numbers.

  • The NetFile Québec (RQ) error codes as well as their descriptions.
  • Electronic transmission of pre-authorized debit agreements to the CRA: the most recent dates of acceptance and rejection (if applicable) of the agreement, as well as the relevant confirmation numbers.
  • Electronic transmission of Form T1135 to the CRA: the most recent dates of acceptance and rejection (if applicable) of the form, as well as the document control number and the relevant confirmation numbers.
  • Electronic transmission of Form MR-69 to RQ: the most recent dates of acceptance and rejection (if applicable) of the form, as well as the relevant confirmation numbers.
Notes:
  • The EFILE and NetFile Québec error codes listed on the EFILE INFO form are displayed in the language used during the transmission.
  • The MR -69 error codes and descriptions, which are available only in the MR-69 form, are displayed in the language used during the transmission.
