Merge or Split the Cells or the Table

You can merge several cells on a line or column into a single cell. You can also split a cell into several cells in a line or a column.

  1. Select the cells in the table that you want to merge.
  2. In the mini toolbar of the tables, click .
  1. Click in a cell or select the cells that you want to split.
  2. In the mini toolbar of the tables, click .
    The Split Cells dialog box displays.
  3. Enter the number of columns or lines in which you want to split the cells selected.
  1. Click in a cell located in the line that will become the first line of the second table.
  2. In the mini toolbar of the tables, click .
