Corporate Taxprep will automatically calculate certain GIFI items: item 3849 - Retained earnings/deficit - end and item 3680 - Net income/loss after you enter the amounts that comprise these items.
As these items are found in a number of places within the GIFI schedules, the automatic calculations help ensure that you do not report different amounts for these items in different schedules.
