Password Protect a Taxprep Client File

Taxprep for Trusts allows you to assign a password to a Taxprep client file to prevent Taxprep users from opening the return without permission.

Print or electronically transmit password-protected client files

If you try to print or transmit electronically several client files and some of them are password-protected, you will be prompted for the password when tryring to print or electronically transmit.

Rolling forward password-protected client files

You can roll forward a password-protected client file; the rolled forward Taxprep file maintains the password protection. If a Taxprep client file was password-protected in a prior year, the rolled forward Taxprep file would be protected by the same password.
